Congratulations to Mayor Thomas L. Rouse, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award on May 1, 2024 by the Northern Kentucky Bar Association!
This prestigious award reads as follows:
Thomas L. Rouse is the sole proprietor of Thomas Rouse Law located in his home town of Erlanger, Ky., where he was elected Mayor in 2007. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law (1978) and the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science (1975). He was admitted to the practice of law in Kentucky in 1978 and Ohio in 1989. He is a proud Juggernaut, graduating from Lloyd Memorial High School in 1970.
Tom has a general practice, involving bodily injury claims, social security and workers compensation claims, family law, personal bankruptcies, wills, probate and estate planning, and general business representation. He has particular interests in professional responsibilities, legal ethics, and professional discipline. Tom was selected as the KBDA Distinguished Attorney in 2004, speaks at continuing education seminars regularly, and is an adjunct professor at Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Tom is dedicated to his profession and its advancement. He will serve the Kentucky Bar Association as its President in 2013-2014, is currently its Vice President, served 6 years on the Board of Governors, and 15 years on the KBA Ethics Hotline. He was President of the Kenton County Bar Association (1989), was a co-founder of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, and served on its Board of Directors and as its President in 1989. he is also a Member of Cincinnati Bar Association (Commission on Mental and Physical Disability Law, 2011-2012), American Association for Justice, Kentucky Justice Association. He is also a Life Fellow of the Kentucky Bar Foundation.
Tom has 2 daughters, Hillary and Jessica (both teachers), 2 grandchildren, Caroline and Camden, and sister Lucy is a retired middle school principal. A life-long member of the Erlanger Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he has served as Elder, Deacon and Board Chair."
