Police - Honor Guard

The Erlanger Police Honor Guard has provided distinguished representation for the city since its inception in 2002. The current members of the Honor Guard are Sergeants Pohlman, Lyle and Sterling and Officers Aylor, Whaley, Shepherd, Humphrey and Miles. The members are all volunteers from the police department and sacrifice time and effort to perform in ceremonies with discipline and respect.

The Erlanger Police Honor Guard has provided services for funerals, ceremonies, and other special events held by the City of Erlanger. In the summer of 2009, the Honor Guard had the honor of presenting the colors at a Cincinnati Reds game (photo above). The members are trained in close order drill, manual of arms, and well-versed in flag etiquette and colors protocol. Often the Honor Guard is requested to perform at locations outside the City of Erlanger to honor fallen police officers, firefighters, and other distinguished persons. The Erlanger Police Honor Guard is among the finest in Kentucky and welcomes its citizens to observe them while performing during many annual special events held by the Cities of Erlanger and Crescent Springs.
