FULL TIME FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC POSITION
Entry Level or Lateral Transfer
The City of Erlanger is seeking an enthusiastic, aggressive, motivated individual with exceptional work ethic to fill the position of full time Firefighter/Paramedic. The purpose of this posting is to establish an eligibility list. Duties and responsibilities of the position are in the Cities Position Classification Plan for Firefighter/Paramedic. The shift is a 24/48 (24 on / 48 off) rotation.
The position requires personnel with a minimum firefighter certification as a Kentucky firefighter or equivalent, Kentucky Paramedic or National Registered Paramedic. Candidates must successfully complete written testing, job performance requirements (JPR) testing, background checks, a thorough current and past training history review, as well as a post-job-offer physical with drug screen. The written test and JPR’s will be taken from the Essentials manual Fifth edition and Standard Advanced Life Support Protocols. The written test and JPR’s will be held at a later date to be announced. Lateral transfers will be accepted according to department SOP and are exempt from written test and JPR’s. Current CPAT certification (within 2 years) will be accepted in place of JPR testing.

Starting Salary $40,500 plus Kentucky State Incentive Pay $3,100
