Promotion of James Brophy to Fire/EMS Lieutenant
Erlanger Fire/EMS is pleased to announce that FF/EMT Jim Brophy has been promoted to Shift Lieutenant for the City of Erlanger Fire/EMS.
Jim currently lives in the City of Erlanger and has two children. He began his career in the fire service with Erlanger as a volunteer in 1993 and has been a member since that time. In 2008 he was hired as a career Firefighter/EMT for Erlanger after serving as a Captain for Edgewood Fire/EMS, Captain for Kentucky Speedway’s Safety Team then as a Lieutenant for Campbell County Fire District 1.
Jim will primarily be based at Station 3 located on Narrows road and be responsible for managing the personnel and serving as the Incident Commander for that District while on shift. We are pleased to have an experienced veteran of the service be promoted to lead our personnel and we expect great accomplishments from him in the future.
This promotion will be effective on January 4, 2024 at the Erlanger City Council Meeting.
